EMC Testing
We carry out EMC testing, ensuring devices comply with standards and market requirements.
Comprehensive EMC testing for your devices
We deliver comprehensive electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing, from initial verification to final compliance tests. We help identify and eliminate sources of interference, supporting manufacturers in obtaining certificates and bringing devices to market.
Why use our EMC laboratory services?
Problem
Tests show emissions exceeding permissible levels or immunity that is too low. Can you help us find the root cause?
Solution
We analyse the sources of EMC issues and pinpoint their specific causes. Based on the test results, we recommend design modifications and improvements to filtering, shielding, and grounding. We support you throughout the entire process—from analysis, through verification of corrective actions, to achieving full compliance with the relevant standards and the EMC Directive.
Problem
During operation, my device causes interference with communication or nearby equipment. How can I eliminate it?
Solution
In our EMC laboratory, we locate sources of interference and determine their nature. We analyse how signals are emitted and the device design. Based on this, we recommend effective solutions: PCB modifications, adding filters, improving shielding, or changing cables. As a result, the device operates reliably without affecting other systems.
Problem
The device does not operate correctly during ESD, Burst, or Surge tests. How can I improve its immunity?
Solution
We carry out detailed tests and analyse the device’s behaviour under disturbance conditions. We identify the most vulnerable components and advise design changes—introducing galvanic isolation, filters, varistors, or shielding. We help optimise the design so it meets immunity requirements.
Problem
I’m at the prototype stage and would like to check early whether the product will pass EMC testing. Do you perform preliminary tests?
Solution
Yes, we provide pre-compliance testing that allows potential issues to be detected before final tests. This helps avoid costly post-production modifications. We help optimise the device design, eliminating weak points in emissions and immunity before ramp-up to series production.
Problem
An audit is approaching and I need an EMC report as soon as possible. Can you perform accelerated testing?
Solution
Yes, we offer flexible schedules and fast turnaround. If needed, we can carry out an initial assessment or partial testing to accelerate the certification process. Our team prioritises urgent projects, delivering reports as quickly as possible while maintaining full reliability of results.
Electromagnetic emissions testing
We perform comprehensive measurements of conducted and radiated emissions in accordance with EN 55032, EN 55011, EN 61000-6-3 and EN 61000-6-4. The tests determine whether the device generates interference that could affect other systems in its vicinity. Measurements are carried out using a GTEM cell, spectrum analysers and EMI receivers. We determine emission levels for radiated signals and conducted disturbances on power and signal lines. The results are interpreted by experienced specialists who identify possible sources of exceedances and recommend specific corrective measures.
Immunity testing
We check how the device responds to disturbances occurring in its real operating environment. Immunity testing is carried out in accordance with EN 61000-4-2, EN 61000-4-3, EN 61000-4-4, EN 61000-4-5, EN 61000-4-6, EN 61000-4-8 and EN 61000-4-11. We test immunity to:
- electrostatic discharges (ESD),
- electrical fast transients (Burst),
- surge voltages (Surge),
- conducted and radiated RF disturbances,
- voltage dips, short interruptions and variations of the supply voltage.
Our test setups allow us to simulate real conditions in a controlled manner and assess how the device behaves in the presence of different types of disturbances. Based on this, we can indicate components that require modification, filtering or improved shielding.
Reporting and post-test technical support
After completing the tests, we prepare full documentation compliant with the requirements of Directive 2014/30/EU (EMC). Reports include detailed measurement results, test setup configuration, references to standards, and a compliance interpretation. We also provide engineering support after testing—helping analyse the causes of non-compliance, select protective components, implement design changes, and prepare for re-testing. This way, the customer receives not only test results, but also practical guidance enabling effective implementation of design changes and achieving full EMC compliance for their devices.
